Record-Breaking Bruno Fernandes Wins His Fourth Premier League Player Of The Month Award For December

Portuguese international and former Sporting Lisbon captain, Bruno Fernandes has for the fourth time racked up the coveted Premier League Player of the Month award for December- equalling Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally in the process.

Arguably the best midfielder in the world currently, Bruno Fernandes since joining the Premier League has managed to score 19 goals and 14 assists in 31 Premier Leagues appearances for Manchester United.

Tallying his fellow National team captain Cristiano Ronaldo’s record and becoming the first player in Premier League history to win the Player of the Month award four times in the same calendar year, Bruno Fernandes beat off competition from colleague Marcus Rashford, Emiliano Martinez, Anwar El Ghazi (both Aston Villa), Ben Mee (Burnley), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Tomas Soucek (West Ham) and John Stones (Manchester City). 

In the month of December, Bruno scored three goals and gave 4 assists in six games. Most remarkable of his performances in the month of December was his stellar showup in a game against Leeds United where he scored twice.

“Thank you very much to every fan that voted for me,” Bruno said on receiving the trophy at the Aon Training Complex.
