Following the soon to be started Ghana Premier League 2020/2021 season, the National Sports Authority (NSA) has commenced with the installation of new seats at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the wake of on-going renovation works at the stadium.
Widely known to be the home ground for GPL top-flight side Kumasi Asante Kotoko, senior high school students damaged the previous seats during an inter-school competition in the Ashanti Region.

Notable amongst the several repairs work been done is that of the pitch’s drainage system which is also being fixed.
