I Close My Eyes All I See Is Lekki Shooting- Burna Boy On Been Traumatized

The African Giant, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, has made an interesting revelation about himself following the Lekki shooting massacre which claimed several lives with many sustaining several degrees of injury.

Taking to his Twitter page, to lament how he’s feeling days after the shooting incident at Lekki which transpired during the early hours of Tuesday evening, October 20, the BET Best International Act award-winner asserted that he can’t sleep.

According to Burna Boy, anytime he lays down to sleep and tries closing his eyes, “all I see is Lekki toll gate.” He indicated most of his life he has seen “a lot of violence and death.”

“But this one,” the Lekki shooting incident has “traumatized” him. Since the inception of the #EndSARS protests in Nigeria, Burna Boy has played a major role in helping push the campaign for an end to police brutality.

Aside from taking to Twitter to show support, Burna in his private space has provided funding for food, drinks, ambulance, billboard among other vital aid items which have been of a dire need to protestors in Nigeria.

He has recently been to one of the protests organized by Nigerians in the UK and has called for protestors with evidence of police shooting and manhandling protestors to send it to him as he files with his legal reps for court.

“I HAVE NOT SLEPT since 20/10/2020. I close my eyes and all I see is Lekki toll gate. I’ve seen a lot of Violence and death in my Life but this is the one that has Traumatized me,” he wrote.
