Multiple award-winning Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu has revealed that he had to pay an amount of GH₵ 150 to veteran actor Agya Koo before featuring in his debut movie upon several attempts to enter the Ghana Movi Industry.
According to him, he had made several attempts to feature in a movie but to no avail until he paid Agya Koo to have him feature in a movie of his.

Speaking in an interview with Mona Gucci on Kantanka TV off the Link Up With Mona Gucci programme, Kwaku Manu revealed that he was one of the pioneers of Agya Koo’s ‘Tete Mofra’ Production.
Considering this Kwaku Manu may clearly not be the only individual who paid his way to somebody upon his quest to be in the Ghana Movie Industry.
Over the years, there have been a few cases by some female celebrities who have shared their experience upon their entry into the Ghanaian creative space indicating that some renowned personalities in the industry at times solicit for sex before allowing them the chance to pursue their talents.
